Bio

Tadhg is a photographic artist, curator and educator based on Merseyside. He graduated with a BA in Digital Imaging & Photography at Reading and an MFA in Documentary Photography at Newport and has since continued to work on personal projects and commissions.


After initially studying art in Dublin, he left for the UK to study photography in Cornwall. After completing his studies he started an internship at the internationally renowned, Magnum Photos office in London. Since leaving Magnum Photos worked as a freelance photographer based in London, working for a variety of publications throughout the UK, Europe and the US. Was also working in the social documentary area of photography for a number of groups throughout the UK who help to house the more vulnerable people in society, providing accommodation for the young, disabled and people with addiction problems. Currently a photography lecturer, as well as pursuing projects, working in a collaborative way with a variety of groups.

His work has been exhibited and published in Britain and internationally at The Gallery of Photography, Dublin, Open Eye Gallery, Liverpool, Bluecoat Gallery, Liverpool, Tate Liverpool as part of Tate Exchange. Has recently been commissioned by West Cheshire and Chester Council as part of the ‘Reflections’ project to explore individuals’ experience of the Covid 19 pandemic and is currently developing a collaborative project in association with the Liverpool Irish Festival.
