Tadhg Devlin is originally from Dublin but left Ireland in 1993 to study in Cornwall in the UK.After completing his studies he was offered a place at the internationally renowned Magnum Photos office in London where he was assistant to the Magnum president Chris Steele-Perkins.
Since leaving Magnum has worked as a freelance photographer in London on a number of stories on a variety of themes.
Has been working on a body of work entitled ‘The Fifth Province’ since 2001 and was awarded a Development Bursary by the Gallery of Photography in Dublin in 2005 which exhibited 'The Fifth Province' in August 2006. Was nominated for the AIB Arts Prize 2006 and has also received a bursary from the Irish Arts Council.In 2008 was included in 'Ireland - An Insider's View' which was shown at the International Recontres d'Arles and the European Month of Photography in Berlin and was also included in the Gallery of Photography's 30th Anniversary exhibition in December 2008.
Recently completed an MFA in Documentary Photography in Newport, Wales.
